WHAT IS LIVINGWORKS START?
In just 90 minutes online, LivingWorks Start teaches trainees to recognize when someone is thinking about suicide and connect them to help and support.
When you sign up for LivingWorks Start training, you'll learn a powerful four-step model to keep someone safe from suicide, and you'll have a chance to practice it with impactful simulations.
LivingWorks Start teaches valuable skills to everyone 13 and older and requires no formal training or prior experience in suicide prevention.
Safety resources and support are available throughout the program.

The LivingWorks Youth Summit has a star-studded lineup of artists, comedians, actors, and more. They all come together to discuss the importance of suicide prevention within our schools.
LivingWorks x CDE x SDCOE Partnership
The California Department of Education, San Diego County Office of Education and LivingWorks have partnered together to deliver LivingWorks Start suicide prevention trainings to California staff and students state wide.

The free LivingWorks Start training is accessible by students, staff, and teachers in middle and high school who reside in California. Click here to access your training.
Not a school staff or student in California?
You can now tune in and watch the recorded version of the LivingWorks Youth Summit to hear stories of hope, resilience, and suicide prevention. While the free training is only available for California middle or high school staff and students, you can visit the LivingWorks website to purchase a LivingWorks Start license!

LivingWorks was founded in 1983 with a vision of building a suicide-safer world. We focus on the community at large in the belief that everyone—no matter their role—can be part of the solution.
